My MUSE: Natasha Wright
Hi everyone, Michele here to introduce this week’s My MUSE: the elegant, inspiring and quietly commanding Natasha Wright.
A Kiwi who has called New York home since completing her MFA at The New York Studio School, Natasha creates large-scale paintings that explore the female form with immediacy and power. Natasha treats studio time like any other job, drawing and painting five days a week, letting instinct guide her hand across multiple canvases. Her figures are never passive; they inhabit the world with agency and quiet authority, much like Natasha herself.
I sat down with her to talk about the intersection of fashion and art, life in New York, the rituals that spark creativity, and the rules she writes for herself both on canvas and off.

My MUSE: Trish Sherson
Hi everyone, Olivia here to introduce this week’s My MUSE: the vibrant, razor-sharp and irresistibly warm Trish Sherson.
There is a lightness about Trish that draws you in; a mix of humour, intelligence and the kind of confidence that only comes from a life truly well lived. As co-founder of Sherson Willis, one of New Zealand’s leading corporate affairs agencies, Trish has spent the past two decades helping others find their voice and tell their story with clarity and conviction. She is the kind of person you instantly want to have a glass of wine with; funny, generous, whip-smart and refreshingly real.
I sat down with Trish to talk resilience, confidence, family and the art of keeping your cool, in great shoes of course.

My MUSE | Nicolet Spice
Hi everyone, Olivia here to introduce this week’s My MUSE: the endlessly engaging, whip-smart, and wonderfully warm Nicolet Spice.
Nicolet’s journey to Arrowtown is anything but ordinary, arriving in her 30s knowing just a handful of people, she’s since built a life that’s full, vibrant, and deeply connected to her community. From launching a tequila brand and farming salmon for the global market, to leading local initiatives and officiating weddings through her celebrant business, Nicolet brings colour and character to everything she touches.
I caught up with Nicolet to talk fashion, community, and the beauty of building a life and wardrobe in one of New Zealand’s most charming small towns.

My MUSE | Natalie Bridges
There’s a kind of energy Natalie brings into a room: sharp, luminous and deeply creative. Whether she’s immersed in a large-scale painting, consulting on a PR campaign, or school-run ready in a statement jacket and slouchy boots, Natalie moves through life with a rare blend of artistic depth and undeniable style.
Natalie’s not one to sit still for long, but she’s thoughtful about what fuels her. From carving out time for painting, to staying rooted in ritual, to dreaming big (with a few runway references thrown in), she’s a woman who knows the power of following your instinct and embracing what lights you up. I sat down with Natalie to talk art, independence, colour, creativity, and the leather jackets on her wishlist that her daughter will one day fight her for...

Behind The Label: Chloe Simpson
For Chloe Simpson, skiing isn’t just a sport. It’s a feeling. It’s childhood joy, family connection, and clarity all rolled into one. After years spent on the slopes of Thredbo, followed by a career in fashion that took her from styling in New York to personal shopping in London, Chloe returned to Australia with a clear vision: to redefine skiwear for the modern woman.
Ahead of her upcoming meet-the-designer event at MUSE Arrowtown, we caught up with Chloe to talk about the memories that shaped her, the women she designs for, and how a dropped glove on a freezing day inspired one of AMERL’s most practical features.
